I'm doing a lot of reading as fast as I can to become familiar with EJB technology.

One thing that I had heard was that the entity beans were slow. Don't remember if I
heard this in regards to any sort
of overhead or app server-specific issues.

Could anyone with substantial entity bean experience comment on this? If anyone has
done any testing about using DB
access from a session bean/javabean vs. using the entity bean to cache the
information, could you please add your $.02
to this?

Thanks.

Les
