Nope, you need an EJB-server. I recommend J2EE RI from JavaSoft if you
just want to try it out:

Nope, you need an EJB-server.

Yup, but it depends on what kind of functionality you want in it. The
difficulty of doing it ranges from rather difficult to beyond extremely
complex. And it'll probably take you from about 3 months to a year to do
it :-)
