Hallo,
I think you must describe your environment more in detail.
I have similar problems, I use Gemstone/J 3.0.
When Gemstone is installed, the TCP/IP identification of the computer is stored at serveral places, This was - in my case - the "lan" identification.
When I ran the client on a different computer. I had, in my case, to use the Internet identification of the computer.
I altered the identification by administrative commands. This solved the problem you describe.
But when I want to access the Remote Object, I have to use information from the naming service (EJB Home), and the remote object was not found. I think there the "lan" identification is stored, too. I could not solve this problem till now.

Subject: How to Specify JNDI URL in J2EE RI

Hi all,
I have written a simple Stateless session EJB and Deployed it in J2EE RI.
I'm trying to connect to the EJB using a Standalone Application (RMI-IIOP Stubs).
When my client is on the same machine where the J2EE is running the client gives the expected result, but when I run the client from a different machine it gives the following exception :
javax.naming.NamingException: Error accessing repository: Cannot connect
to ORB

It seems error is in getting the Initial Context to the Naming service running on remote machine, probably some properties are to be set like 'INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY'.

Can anybody suggest what could be the possible solution to this problem.

Thanx in Advance
ATUL S.
