Hi Shelly,

There's not much problem going from one (not clustered) to the other.
Basically, there's a couple of configuration changes in the weblogic.properties
file, some new tokens to pass on the command line when starting the server, and
a little bit of stuff to do to the proxying server (IIS or NES). You shouldn't
have to rewrite any code as long as you wrote it properly the first time (and
aren't using anything hardcoded, etc.). If you want to, you can set up a
singular server in a cluster of its own to get an idea of how difficult it is
(hint: it's not that bad, but the documentation on it is pretty bad).

HTH,

Subject: Help needed regarding usage of clustering.

Hello all,
I am using Weblogic Server 4.5.1 . I have a query regarding using
Clustering .
Could anyone pl. let me know what all overheads will be there if I have
a stand alone server (used both as Web server and Application Server) presently
and at a later date want to use Clustering. Also will I need to rewrite any
application code which is working with standalone server to make it work with
Clustered servers.

Thanks and Regards,
