I successfully implemented the RMI callback as well, using
IBM Visual Age for Java on WinNT.
A problem I had at the beginning, was to set up the RMI Registry properly.
You have to have the registry running and the RMI clients class files
have to be in the registry's classpath.
I can recommand following book:
Enterprise Java Computing, Applications and Architecture
Govind Seshadri, Cambridge University Press, 1999
It's only one chapter about RMI but that delivers the essential information.
