Hi all,

recently there was an article about EJB in a well known german IT magazine
which in essence stated that EJB servers today are not stable and scalable
enough for large scale systems. I myself have only been involved in systems
that had a rather moderate database size and number of concurrent users but
from what I read on this list and vendors say about their products, that
doesn't seem to be true. where can I get examples for EJB based systems in
production today, that handle heavy loads? isn't amazon.com running on
weblogic (heard rumors)? please, vendors and practitioners, give some
examples. the ones that are given on javasoft's success stories page look
kind of week. if that's all they can come up with maybe it's true what the
guys wrote in the article.

so is ejb an option (or even the best choice) for a project that has to
handle large numbers of concurrent users and transactions (like amazon,
ebay etc.) or is this still science fiction?

btw. richard, (monson-haefel) wouldn't that be information worth putting on
ejbnow.com? as far as I can see you only have a link to sun's success
stories at the moment.

thanks for any input,

robert
