Title: RE: Does IIOP Matter !!! READ THIS !!!!!!!!!!!!

Andrew,

Well said, I tend to agree with nearly all the things that you said, with
one slight disagreement.

I would look to this forum to have discussions/ (purely)technical arguments
to list the various features/advantages over each other. People in this
group are uniquely qualified to differentiate technical merit over
hyperbole. If you ever went to buy an electronic goods you know what i mean,
as each vendor provides his own feature matrix with all the ticks in his
section and crosses in the competitors.

So there is nothing wrong in William's previous assertions. They are his
point of view and should be taken as that. If people disagree then let them
come out with the technically valid counter arguments for all the readers to
make their own educated opinions.

Coming to the main topic, I disagree with many of the things that the Web
Logic mail implied but dont consider myself to be in total know of things to
do a counter point. May be Michi from comp.object.corba could respond to
this (I am not sure about if it is OK to do a cross-posting).

PS:
Just 2 question though, 1> are all EJB clients( non-HTTP based ) written in
Java? The WebLogic's assertion seems to indicate that. 2> Dont you have
cases where EJB objects have to talk to legacy ( read non-java )
applications.

Thanx for ur time,
Atul.
