Oracle's application server does not support Entity Beans at all, and is not
J2EE compliant. Whether their approach is correct or not, Oracle's
Application Server takes approximately 10 seconds to instantiate an EJB,
making it unusable in a production environment.

Hi, check out Oracle Business Components for Java (BC4J) at their
Technet site. It seems Oracle people have strong ideas about
NOT using entity beans at all, be them BMP or CMP.
BC4J implements View Objects and Entity Objects to address these
kinds of problems. I very much agree with this approach.
