have u considered this...

The security roles that u define in ejb-jar.xml are only visible to the ejbs
in that particular jar file. If u were to use different jar files for ejbs
that use the same roles, then these roles need to defined again and again in
each ejb-jar.xml.
This is still okay during production.
But once u deliver u soln, the job of assigning principals to roles has to
repeated for each jar file. Similarly a change in the role-principal map
would require the customer to effect the change in each jar file !!
So if u have 10 ejbs that use the same roles, i see no alternative to
putting all of them in the same jar file.
