Did you urlEncode the serialized handler before shooting it through the response.inputstream?

I want to serialize the handle to a stateful session
bean, then have a servlet client include it in the
links embedded in a JSP page, so that when the user
submits a form or clicks a link the serialized handle
is available to the servlet to retrieve the correct
session bean.
But The serialized handle is getting garbled and
truncated (it appears) in the web page, so the link
doesn't have the complete handle to submit back to the
server.
Also, the handle included quotes and ">"s, which I
search for and replace because they were messing up
the html tags.
What do I need to do to accomplish this? (I'm trying
to avoid servlet sessions).

tia.
