We found Pet Store, the reference SUN architecture very useful. Though the
actual implementation is done for very small application but the
architecture itself can be extended to take care of the complexities
involved in any commercial application.
Also take a look at the struts architecture from apache foundation.

Any idea/pointers to the various architectures which can be used to
construct an application using J2EE. I know of the MVC, Model2 and Model1
architectures. This might be an offbeat question for this channel,but, any
help would be very much appreciated.
