The EJB-SIG is the product of a joint effort of
the Java User Group Germany (JUG) and MGM EDV-Beratung
GmbH. This group was founded due to the importance
of Enterprise JavaBeans for future application
development and to support projects in this field.
The group will be moderated and actively supported
by MGM EDV-Beratung GmbH, a Munich based software
development and consulting firm.

Our Goals

   * To provide a contact point for all users
     interested in EJB

   * To encourage and promote the cooperation,
     communication, and discussion between users
     and projects

   * To support the employment of the EJB
     technology for application development

Our Activities

   * Introducing the EJB technology
        o Introductory and advanced, topic-related
          workshops
        o Product overviews, success stories,
          design methods
        o Building up an EJB-Server Center

   * Knowledge base
        o Overviews, reviews, collected practical
          knowledge of EJB containers, tools and
          development environment, and components
        o Gathered Information: tutorials and
          literature, news and events, archives,
          experiences, and expert knowledge

   * Events
        o Arranging member meetings, discussions,
          and workshops
        o Provide the EJB software vendors with a
          platform to present their products

   * Information exchange
        o Members define their application area
          and describe their projects
        o This enables targeted knowledge exchange
          among members

   * Cooperations
        o Provide an overview of ongoing research
          projects
        o Mediation of student's projects
        o Promoting cooperations with research
          projects
