My post may have been cryptic on this point. I was suggesting that the
coarse grained session beans that provide services that update the
underlying
entities be partitioned (as apposed toone big SB with a zillion
services/methods
in it).
On partitioning the graph, it may depend on the underlying technology. With
oodb we have isolation at the object level, and can lock at any level in the
graph
(as an agreed application semantic). So isolation on graph updates is not
too hard.
