This will never happen IMHO. In the parallel processing world this was
always mooted 10+ years ago, but people found that bumping up processer
speeds was always easier than bumping up comms speeds. And the complexity
of what people want to do generaly fills the resources available.

Thus I believe that these issues will always be issues that people will
have to consider.
