Pramati Launches Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) Server

Proton 4.0 offers a complete solution for developing, testing, deploying

and managing Enterprise JavaBeans applications

Hyderabad, India June 1, 1999 Pramati Technologies (P) Limited
today announced the release of its Proton 4.0, a complete solution for
developing, testing, deploying and managing Enterprise JavaBeans
applications.

Proton 4.0 is packaged as Proton.EJB for large-scale enterprise
applications (with Enterprise JavaBeans server) and as Proton.Web
(without EJB support) for web-enabled applications.

Proton.EJB 4.0 supports Container Managed Persistence for Entity Beans,
thus dramatically reducing the need for database programming. Object
Relational mapping tools and JDBC enable easy integration with
relational databases. Proton.EJB also provides integration with leading
object databases.

Proton=92s high performance architecture is multithreaded and uses object
pooling, activation management, pooled database connections and
clustering. Support for the Java Transaction API (JTA) enables
distributed transaction support. Pramati also plans support for popular
TP Monitors in a future release.

Proton includes a powerful developer studio with wizards and code
generation to help in you in EJB development.

"EJB is a whole new way of building component applications", says Vijay
Prasanna,
Chief Technology Officer, Pramati Technologies, "and having powerful
tools is very important
for the developer community. Proton empowers developers with automatic
bean generation, transactions and thin-client support".

Proton uses 100% Pure Java and will run on any Java 2 platform.

Priced at $1,000, the developer edition of Proton 4.0 comes with an
in-built EJB server and all the tools you need to build, test and debug
your enterprise application.
