Rickard, all,

This is very cool.... As a developer, though, I have two questions to
ask of Sun --

1. Will JDO be an API for plugging orthogonal persistence into a JVM,
or is it seen as a step beyond EJB CMP? If the latter, then what is
the relative positioning b/w that and projects like PJama and products
like Gemstone/J, which provide orthogonal persistence for Java by
modifying the JVM? Should they be used together; are they mutually
exclusive; or -- ?

2. How is JDO to be positioned relative to Java Blend? I am currently
considering the use of Java Blend right now because it supports a more
sophisticated persistence model than most vendors' CMP. Is there a
migration path? Will JDO include, for example, automatic referential
integrity for bidirectional relationships?

Peace to all,

Ihab
