I think you have the wrong definition of nested transactions. If TX2 is
nested
in TX1 and TX1 rolls back, then TX2 must roll back.

This cannot be simulated with a pair of flat transactions because there is
no
way to undo the effects of TX2 after TX2 has committed since "undo data" is

not kept indefinitely and the resource locks held by TX2 are not passed to
TX1 (they are dropped).
