Your proposal seems to have many (and I mean *lots*) of similarities
with the upcoming Connector API and the JMX API.
IMHO I don't think you should try to convince anyone to adopt this
proposal. A more practical approach would be to try and become a
participant in the Connector and JMX specification processes, as they
ave more or less the same goal. Not sure if they're still open though.
You'll have to check with JCP admins.
