All,

We know you've been asking for this one...

Sun is preparing to deliver a complete Enterprise JavaBeans(tm) (EJB)
Developer's Guide, covering the key features of enterprise bean development.
This developer's guide will provide an overview of the EJB technology,
information and code examples on creating several types of enterprise beans, as
well as details on using features provided by EJB containers and the Java(tm) 2
Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE). This document is part of Sun's eagerly
awaited reference implementation of Enterprise JavaBeans technology, which will
be part of the J2EE reference implementation. (For more on the J2EE platform,
see the J2EE web page at:http://java.sun.com/j2ee/)

The J2EE reference implementation is currently in limited Alpha release, with
public Beta release scheduled for later this fall. In the meantime, due to your
overwhelming interest in additional support for Enterprise JavaBeans, we're
providing a sneak preview at the EJB Developer's Guide Alpha version. This
information should be of interest to all EJB developers, regardless of the EJB
implementation you're working with.

To check this out please go to: http://java.sun.com/products/ejb/devguide.html

Thanks to all for your ongoing interest in Enterprise JavaBeans technology! And
be sure to check back for information on the public release of the J2EE beta,
which will include even more features to support EJB developers.

Thanks,
Ann
