Hi, Is it possible to invoke a method of a remote object residing in a middle-tier behind two firewalls: ISP and a local one? I'm considering the following architecture: Applet -------------------------------------RMI------------------------------------ ------------>RemoteObject Browser ----------[ISP firewall] ----------[cooperation local firewall] --------Application Server What exactly is SUN's Secure Firewall Tunneling technology? Is it a product, standard, framework, etc? What about its availability? One further question regarding RMI-over-IIOP. Can someone confirm what I've read somewhere that RMI/IIOP is going to make RMI calls through firewalls seamless? How shall future CORBA 3.0 firewall specification apply to this matter?
