Dear Colleague: Recently, we sent you a message inviting you to participate in one of our October EJB Workshops. Some of you have inquired about producing open source products during our workshops and we believe that is a great idea! We have set aside two workshops for open source development: October 18-20 and 25-27. Openings in both workshops are available but limited and still being offered at $900. Participants will be working with open source based development tools (XML editor, EJB Server, and EJB test harness) that they may take home with them. All registered participants will be receiving a list of possible open source projects by email next week and will have an opportunity to cast a vote on the project most interesting to them. If you have not registered yet and are interested please go to http://www.technicalities.com/Training/SubjectsCourses/EJBCourse.htm and click on "register now" Here is a summary of the workshop.. Technicalities, Inc., located in the Portland, Oregon, is offering an in-depth, hands-on EJB workshop. This high-intermediate, 3-day workshop goes well beyond the EJB spec taught in most classes. In addition to formal lecture, participants will build either a piece of their own application or participate in an ongoing open source project. Mentoring and guidance is provided by experienced developers with commercial project experience. In order to help us refine this new course and receive valuable feedback, we are offering it at cost through October. The first 30 registrations for our October sessions pay only $900. The regular fee for the course is $2,000.
