try enfinity.intershop.com but I'm afraid that you'll just find marketing
bla-bla. In essence they completely rebuilt their system (formerly all perl)
based on Powertier, Oracle 8i, JWS 2.0, Visibroker, XML4J, Homesite and a few
others. clients are java but extensively use the Microsoft VM for their UI :(.
Platforms supported are NT and Solaris. The system can be extended using EJBs
and so-called 'piplets'. They also include a visual for modeler the business
workflow. It's far more expensive than their previeous high-end product
(starting at about 100 000$ for the full toolset, please Intershop don't sue
me if that's not accurate). I'm evaluating the product on behalf of a client
and I still have not decided how much of their (really good) marketing you
have to scrape off until you get to the real beaf. I don't know if they
officially provide evaluation copies, maybe you just contact them.

hope that helps,

robert

P.S.: has anyone really worked with TheoryCenter's product? How were your
experiences and what was the ratio of components that you developed vs. using
TheoryCenter's in the final product/application?
