Take a look at the thread "finder methods specifications".
A similar problem has been discussed there. The essence
I took from that thread was to send the following spec comment
to Sun:
"... The bean provider should be able to force a synchronization
of all entity beans involved in the current transaction. This method
should be callable from business methods of session beans and entity
beans with BMP. In the case of CMP the container provider should be
responsible for synchronization before executing a finder method in
the context of an already existing transaction. If the suggested new
"sync()" method would not find it's way to the specification,
synchronization should automatically be done by the container in case
of BMP too."
