This was an interesting article, but it didn't really say that Microsoft was not going to be doing distributed computing that I could tell. Is that how you read it? Is not DNA approximately the same thing? I've never used DCOM or DNA and I'm not trying to promote them over EJBs by any stretch of the imagination. I'm simply trying to be sure of what's being said here. OF course, I don't see why DCOM is being compared to EJBs at all. DCOM should be compared to CORBA and RMI, should it not? It does not compare to EJBs at all that I can see. DCOM is a means for doing semi-distributed objects, or rather distributd semi-objects. EJBs is about server-side components. Those aren't the same thing. Or am I missing something?
