Recently, I met a similar problem, and found that if you are using thin
driver, you have to have Oracle server version 8.0.5 and driver 8.15 or
8.16. I couldn't find any suitable type 4 JDBC driver for Oracle 8.0.3. All
mentioned software is available for downloading from Oracle's web site.
