IMHO the players are (please yell if I missed someone, I ignored the
traditional MOMs e.g., MQSeries,etc):
        Tibco
        Vitria
        Talerian
        GlobalCast
        iBus

Tibco is the oldest player of P/S messaging and have RM (reliable
multicast).
Vitria has a nice arch. and boasts better performance than Tibco, but they
are more focused on biz/supply-chain automation...rather than middleware.
Talerian SmartSockets has a track record, traditionally a hub-spoke model,
but have been moving towards RM. Their message coalescing has some value for
some high volume applications.
Global Cast has a light middleware which is based on Lucent's RM...haven't
heard much from them lately, but the technology is worth a look.
iBus is probably the most interesting arch. of products...has pure Java
roots, but has C bindings and I think it is offering a real time RM stack
now.
