Presently J2EE Connector architecture specification is being worked upon by the connectors expert group under the Java Community Process. We had started the expert group in July 99. Now the expert group includes 15 companies: leading application server, EIS, enterprise tools vendors being among the participants in the expert group. The expert group has been making good progress on the J2EE connector specification. From June onwards, we have gone through a few drafts that are available for review only to the expert group participants. This is the reason why there haven't been any public drafts as yet. The Connector specification will go in to public review stage early 2Q of CY2000. At that time, specification will be available for public review beyond the expert group.
