If you want to investigate what can be done with bi-directional support
of COM, I suggest you check out Iona's application server. Two years
ago Iona licensed Microsoft code and they can wrap CORBA objects as COM
objects or vice versa and I suspect their current EJB server is pretty
close to the state of the art.
