Arkin, Sorry if I offended. It was not my intention. I would certainly not want to stiffle anyone's creativity and imagination. Look at what has been accomplished with free-BSD, Linux, GNU et all. It is truly amazing. I just wanted to point out that all this stuff we have been talking about (object persistence, cache synchronization, distributed transactions...) is very difficult to do and has taken many years for us to build. I have seen many projects where folks tried to build these sorts of services on their own, and their projects are almost universally abysmal failures. Anyone who takes on such an endeavor should do so with eyes wide open. Please accept my sincere apology. I value you contributions here on this list and see that you have helped many people too.
