Some of it also depends on the EJB provider themselves. Theorycenter, for
instance,
has integrated most of JumpStart with Rose. So, you modify the models in Rose,
add
methods, etc. and then generate the code. Most others I've seen haven't been
that way
and the majority of people I've talked to have subclassed as the way to go.

I guess this topic has been already discussed.
EJB can be customized by editing the Deployment descriptor before depolying the
EJB. What about application logic such as business method? How can it be
customized? Subclassing is one idea to do it. Is it good iead? Anything else?
When the EJB is coded adopting strategy pattern ( or policy pattern ) in order
to exchange application logic, it is easy to customize application logic without
subclassing. So what should the EJB provider do for easy EJB customization?
