Sorry if this sounds rude but should you not do the right thing and RTM. There is a whole list of newgroups devoted to getting web logic running even a massive call support line. My thinking is this newgroups is used for more higher level questions than simply getting some server to run. On the point of web logic 5 I have already spent a week trying to get a simple beans jar deployed with their RMI-IIOP implementation. It still needs more work. While your off the topic let me indulge myself for one moment and say that this tool needs some serious user interface design. Though I like to work with scripts (I am a Pragmatic Programmer) I also like to use a graphical user interface, but with web logic I give up and cringe. The deployer and console just look amatuerish and I would be embrassed to give this to my IT Ops dept. There has been no attempt at all to design for the user and to standardize on well know UI design conventions. They need some serious task analysis and UI design not to mention stability issues. What about the color scheme? I feel obliged to mail them a book on color harmony and icon design. Before people questions my views please bear in mind that I am a HCI consultant along with the rest. To relate to the real world (outside computers) I am driving (fast) down the road in a mini (small english car) with some super charge engine under the hood. I am passing alot of cars. What do you think the people in the other cars think? How did he get that little car to go so fast? Do you think mini car sales will go up? I don't think so. Why, guys just do not want to drive up to their girlfriend in a mini and she does not want to get into it. Presentation is everthing. William PS: The girlfriend is IT Operations. > -----Original Message----- > From: Moorthy [SMTP:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Tuesday, February 22, 2000 1:19 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: IS there any classpath to set for WEBLOGIC 5.0 > > Hi all, > > I have downloaded Web Logic 5.0 for WinNT, I want to know how to proceed > with this.
