I am having trouble with creating EJB's with Container Managed Persistance
with the AS400 as the datasource. Unfortunately, THE EJB IS CAUSING A LOCK
on the AS400 file that CMP is mapped to. This causes updates from the legacy
system not to occur. I have tried setting various transactional attributes,
but, unfortunately, it seems to not have any effect on the Pessimistic
locking. Has anyone faced this issue or have any suggestions. Please reply
with advice. This is a major issue that is unfortunately preventing us from
moving further in using EJB's in our project. Any help is appreciated.
