Hi all, I would like to know has anybody done a study on the different load balancing techniques used by current ejb vendors. I would like to discuss each vendors implementation and how it lives up to different real world situations. I have just subscribed to the IEEE's Concurrency magazine where I believe many different solutions are discussed detailing the advantages and disadvantages. Can somebody recommend some good books on this subject. Am I correct in that servers can do this either the client side or server side. What are the advantages and disadvantages of both approaches? When is it appropriate? When does load balancing fail? What are the best algorithms? RPC versus Queues? What happens if we use two beans both living in 2 different servers that use the others reference. I really would like to gain knowledge in this area. I have read some vendor whitepapers on this subject but of course no mention of where it works and where it does not. kind regards, William Louth *********************************************************************** Bear Stearns is not responsible for any recommendation, solicitation, offer or agreement or any information about any transaction, customer account or account activity contained in this communication. *********************************************************************** =========================================================================== To unsubscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and include in the body of the message "signoff EJB-INTEREST".
