Sai,
Create a directory called the name of the app you are deploying. Create
three sub-directories called EAR, JAR, and WAR. Expand the EAR into the EAR
directory (use WinZip for example). From the EAR directory, you should see a
WAR (if you have servlets/jsps) and expand that into the WAR sub-directory.
>From the EAR directory, you should see a JAR (if you have EJBs) and expand
that into the JAR sub-directory.
Edit away to your hearts content. To rebuild, use the JAR command that comes
with the JDK to rebuild first the JAR and WAR from their respective
directories, copy them to the EAR directory and use the JAR command to
create the EAR. This is my own "deploy tool" and it works great! (I have
bats/shell scripts to do it all now with the projects that I am working on.)
