We are using SilverStream App Server for our production environment and J2EE
for intial testing/development of the EJB's/Servlets/JSP's etc. With regard
to this I was wondering if others can share their experiences in moving a
developed application from J2EE to other app server environments (especially
with regard to Silverstream). I am trying to get the information from
SilverStream news groups as well but I felt this is relevant to here as many
here are developing the applications (EJBs) initially on J2EE to later
deploy it on a commercial server.
Also, what is the best way to move an application from one PC to the other
(both having Sun's J2EE 1.2.1 environment). I am trying to see the minimum
number of configuration and file movements to deploy the application on
other PC's running J2EE 1.2.1 server (like default.properties, ear file,
etc)
Thanks a lot,
