The May 2000 issue of Java Develpers Journal has a simple BMP example
with code. It may be on the web site;
http://www.sys-con.com/java/index2.html
Personally, I see CMP of complex object graphs, even if aided by an
Object-relational mapper like TOPlink/Coco-Base et al is like hopping
on one foot and patting your stomach. Yes it can be done, but with
JDBC being your real asset, why work twice as hard just to give up
your critical intellectual property to a technology that is very likely
slower than good JDBC/sql. The TOPlink/PowerTier guys have just blown
smoke about their caching and higher performance. No shoot outs with
code, just talk about CMP...
Anybody got hard stats on BMP of the Dependant object Pattern VS CMP?
Cheers,
curt
