simple spec question -

18.1.2 says that ejbs can't use the java.io package to access the file
system, but it also says in the comment on not using the AWT that "most
servers do not allow direct interaction between an application program and a
keyboard/display attached to the system"

does this mean you shouldn't use System.err.println, etc calls in your bean
code?

I'm sure this is probably addressed in the archives, but I can't work out
where to find them - any directions appreciated.
