you say you have included the client.jar file by that I assume you mean you
have placed the client.jar deploytool created in your classpath.  If not
that is what your problem is.  I have succesfully used jdk1.3 w/j2sdkee1.2
so i know it will work.  Check your classpath if not that reply back with
more info
