If you application will be generally stand alone, Its hard to argue against WebLogic. If you have a lot of legacy integration with IBM mainframe apps, WebSphere with VA-Java comes with quite a few nice integration tools. On top of that, I expect to see a WebSphere EJB container that runs inside of mainframe CICS in the year-end, early next year time frame. It may be useful to be able to share a transaction context across EJBs using CICS recoverable resources and EJBs that use relational databases in a unix environment.
