The Persistence PowerTier product generates finder methods out-of-the-box
that support join queries which retrieves multiple types of CMP beans and
"knits" them together in the server's cache. The join queries may be
specified using either dynamic SQL or custom stored procedures. The spec
does not require this behavior, so most containers don't implement it, but
you could certainly do it yourself.
