This is a (very interesting, but nonetheless evil) virus, exploiting the Win9* ability to mask file extensions...it is NOT a text file, but is in actuality a *.shs file, which will execute if opened. MOST VIRUS PROTECTION SYSTEMS WILL NOT CATCH THIS. The best way to detect it is to attempt to save the file to a local drive, and you will (hopefully) notice the actual full filename is "life_stages.txt.shs", though the attachment may list itself as "life_stages.txt" in all other context. BE WARNED. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY NASTY TROJAN HORSE TACTIC. Saurabh, I highly recommend you do some drive cleaning, and be more careful with attachments in the future. If you don't know the sender, then you don't know the file! > -----Original Message----- > From: Saurabh Kumar [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Monday, June 19, 2000 2:33 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Fw: Life stages text > > > =========================================================================== To unsubscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and include in the body of the message "signoff EJB-INTEREST".
