You're right. After the transaction has ended, the update is complete. And
you don't have to care about locks and transactions. So I would always
prefer CMP, ecxept when you want to get large resultsets. Because of the
entity bean overhead, you probably don't want to go over entity beans in
that case. For getting large resultsets I prefer jdbc statements in a
session bean w/o creating entity beans at all.
