Hi all, I am right now working on an EJB design evaluation project and would like the opinion of and some help from the EJB community. When designing an EJB application there is always a number of choices. Are we going to use CMP or BMP entity beans? Entity beans or session beans for DB access? Stateful or stateless session beans? Many times these decisions are a balance between short development time and high performance and scalability. But how large is this performance difference? This is the question that our project is going to try to give an answer to. What I would like to know is if there is anybody who has done anything similar? Do you have any specific design options that you would want to be tested? Would you be interested in the results of this evaluation? What tools are good? I'd appreciate any pointers!
