I've got to say that I'd be worried about doing business with a company
whose employees make critical technology decisions by not doing their
own research.

Weblogic Server is a J2EE-compliant application server. Such
application servers do not "support" different databases in the way that
you seem to think they do. They use JDBC. For more on JDBC, please see
http://java.sun.com/products/jdbc. Figuring out why application servers
use JDBC instead of being specifically targeted at a database is left as
an exercise to the reader, which means that the stupid question will
probably be reasked on this mailing list, unfortunately.
Cheers,
Laird
