Hello, I would like to know if there is any chance to make use of Visualage Common Connector Framework in EJBs hosted in Websphere Advanced Edition 3. More precisely: - In Websphere 3 EE we have Component Broker Server and PAA (procedural application adepters) which enable the connection between EJB session and CICS via three different techniques (screen scraping, ECI and APPC). - In Visualage for Java EE 3 we have the CCF and the possibility to call CICS transactions via ECI/EPI (using CTG - CICS Transaction Gateway) What is not clear to me is: - Am I allowed to use CICS connectors classes built with Visualage for Java and EAB (enterprise acces builder) inside an EJB running in Websphere Application Server ADVANCED 3 (NOT Enterprise EE)? - Concerning integration between EJB and AS/400 legacy applications, do I have restrictions in 'plugging' AS/400 Java Toolbox library in Websphere EJB server ? These questions pertain to the compatibility of IBM CCF - AS/400 Toobox and EJB specification restrictions (threading, io, syncronization). Does anyone have experience in this specific topic?
