jBoss Pros
- revolutionary architecture (sorry it sounds corny - only thing I could think of to
explain the architecture)
- simple deploy / hot deploy
- large developer base
- solid vision
jBoss Cons
- still an early release product - version 2.0 is because of the dramatic change in
architecture, not because it is a mature product
- not all of the bean types are supported and stable yet
Jonas Pros
- seems more feature-full in the short-term
- simple to install and configure
- transactional support is more mature
Jonas Cons
- small developer base
- vision driven by parent company - may not support your needs
- our installation didn't scale - had a _lot_ of COMMIT_ONE_PHASE errors when we
loaded up the server
My opinion would be to use Jonas in the short-term if you need to get an environment
running to start development. Keep an eye on jBoss and Project Game Over for a real
solution in the next few months.

Subject: Jboss or JOnAs - which is better
I understand the two most popular open source EJB servers for Tomcat are
Jboss and JOnAs. Does anyone know the pros and cons of one over the
other?
As always - thanks for your help!
