Jim Cook beat me to the response.  If you look at the spec (6.8), it
leaves an out (this is how I read it) for the EJB vendors to implement a
Stateless Session Bean as a single instance (I assume to conserve
resources) and leave it to the vendor to manage multi-client access.  If
a vendor implemented Stateless this way, then my question dealt with
access to a collection of Java helper classes.
