one thing I have done is enhance a cmp bean that maps to one table with
dependent objects by subclassing it and using jdbc in ejbLoad() and
ejbStore() for dealing with dependent objects. e.g. you have an Order bean
that's created using cmp-tools by your vendor and implement the loading and
storing of OrderItems as bmp. I think that fits into the category and works
ok. of course, ideally with a container that supports cmp with dependent
objects that shouldn't be necessary but for those that only support
one-bean-to-one-table mappings this is a doable workaround and in
conformance with the spec.
