Amen!
 As for spam, I have taken it upon myself to respond to spammers by asking
them to cease and desist. Vacation mails I live with, they seldom amount to
a post or two except in the dog days of summer , when they may get up to
four or five. I hardly break a sweat pressing "delete" that many times.

As the person responsible for resource management here, if we hosted a list
its needs would have a very low priority relative  to business critical
resource requirements. Saving you a few keystrokes a day may not be worth
shorting a paying customer.
