Well, is JBuilder actually free, or are you just talking about the trial
download? If JBuilder Enterprise really *is* free, then my company would
like to have a word with the folks that sold us JBuilder for gobs of
money...
Other than that, I see JBuilder and Kawa as largely equivalent in terms of
functionality that I care about. It would come down to personal preference.
My bias towrds Kawa also come partially from the fact the Tek-Tools is a
very small company, so you can have conversations like the following:
"Hi, Tek-Tools? I just needed to reinstall Kawa after blowing away my
machine, and I can't find my license. My name is Kurt Christensen and I
bought your product a few months ago."
"No problem. I'll e-mail you a new license."
I've never had to deal with Inprise support, so I don't want to malign them,
but I'll bet a dollar that the above conversation would have been different
had I had the same issue with my copy of JBuilder.

Not sure what Kawa adds to your equation, but considering that VA is free
and (my personal fave) Inprise JBuilder is a free download, wouldn't you
prefer a $0 solution?
